DOUGLAS FARMS: BRANDING

Douglas Farms Branding emerged from a collaborative effort between myself and a fellow student during a university project. Our mission was to establish a farm-to-fork restaurant brand for a multi-generational family farm, with the freedom to choose the desired location.

Our comprehensive process encompassed meticulous research, conceptualization, visual collage boards, sketching, identity design, print creation, advertising strategies, packaging solutions, menu and tabletop design, web development, signage planning, physical construction, captivating displays, and a compelling verbal presentation.

The solution we crafted for this endeavor revolved around the persona of the Douglas family, representing a fourth-generation farming lineage hailing from Bainbridge, Washington. The essence of Douglas Farms' identity radiated from its proud heritage and authentic fellowship. Our design approach was marked by a contemporary Americana vibe, seamlessly blending navy, red, light blue, and neutral tones. Drawing inspiration from the farm's principal crop, raspberries, our creative choices wove this element throughout the project.

The tagline "Farm Fresh, Lounge Local" perfectly encapsulated our objectives and brand message. We aimed to evoke a sense of savoring quality, authentic local cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting, fostering a space for people to gather and connect. Situated in Seattle, Washington, the Douglas Farms market, café, and food truck catered to health-conscious working individuals aged 25 to 50 and their families. This demographic was drawn to investing in premium local products, aligning seamlessly with our brand ethos.

The Douglas Farms Branding endeavor was an embodiment of careful curation, thoughtful strategy, and a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation.
